Vancouver Education Programs Chairperson We have no Education Specialist at this time Education Mission Statement: The Vancouver Education Program is committed to instilling a love of the environment through exploration and observation of the world around us. We hope to empower children and adults to treat the earth with respect and take action when needed to protect natural areas and wildlife species.
Audubon Adventures A classroom program from National Audubon Society. Each enrolled class receives a set of 30 newspapers and a leaders guide on 6 natural science topics. The cost is $41.50 per classroom. Some sponsors are available from Vancouver Audubon Society. This is a great way to educate our young children to respect our earth and the wildlife that live here. The number of classes participating depends on contributions from our members and the public. Vancouver Audubon Nature Camp Ages 7 - 10 This daycamp offers an exciting variety of hands-on activities to help each camper discover the basic ecological concepts that run the natural world. Different weeks and locations to choose from. This day camp is becoming popular with the youth in the area who want to learn about our environment and the animals that depend on it for the livelihood. Call Jerry Beale 360-882-1955.

Bird Discovery Boxes Available
Our Bird Discovery Box kits that contain resource materials on Northwest Birds are waiting to be checked out. Each Bird Discovery Box is loaned to educators for 3 weeks. The BDB contains the following contents: Classroom materials--books, videos, slides, video tapes, CD-Rom posters, microscope, bird parts, Audubon Adventures papers.
